To some extent, this London-based quintet follows the usual boy band recipe: smooth harmonies, sharp pop sensibilities and shiny production. What sets Blue apart from the seemingly endless supply of boy bands, however, is the genuine soul these fellas lay down in between the grooves. From 1970s disco to American hip-hop, Blue incorporate a wide variety of rhythmic influences to create a sound that is decidedly less British pop and more (American) Contemporary R&B. Do they dance? Who cares!
