...Live in Chicago
Panic! At The Disco
Runtime: 1 hr 1 minTwo thousand eight was a big year for the Vegas quartet known as Panic At the Disco. After famously dropping the ! from their nomenclature, the band released their sophomore album Pretty. Odd., the follow-up to 2005's platinum debut, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. The band eschewed their signature emo-dance party sound for classic Beatles-esque pop-rock. Touring in support of Pretty. Odd., the band headlined the annual Honda Civic sponsored tour with support acts Motion City Soundtrack, The Hush Sound and Phantom Planet. Their May 23, 2008 stop at the Congress Theater was filmed for Live In Chicago, the band's second live offering, and features new hits such as Nine In The Afternoon, That Green Gentleman (Things Have Changed) and Northern Downpour, as well as longtime fan favorites like I Write Sins Not Tragedies.
Live at Irving Plaza
Runtime: 53 minHaving already conquered the UK with his chart-topping debut album ‘Long Way Down’, don’t miss Tom Odell’s dazzling live show filmed at Irving Plaza, New York City. Live at The Cutting Room
Runtime: 22 minThere is something truly unique about the music that pours out of the four lads who comprise the experimental, indie outfit, Alt-J. It has a sparkling, melodious quality in the way the guitars fizzle in a bed of digital mist. But there are odd chanting harmonies, crunchy riffs that'll snap your teeth, and, most notably, a disjointed, percussive approach that's mightier than all. It's all helped to stew a bit of a phenomenon on the band's side of the Atlantic. Why just today the band snatched themselves a nomination for the prestigious Mercury Prize for their debut, An Awesome Wave (which is just about the best way to describe what lies within). Here in the US, the band is currently spreading the gospel one city at a time. Recently, that meant a quick stop at The Cutting Room Studios in NYC for a live-to-air session with our friends at KEXP Seattle. In its' aftermath, we're obviously converted...and we don't think you stand a chance either.
