On August 20th 2005, on what would have been his 56th birthday, a statue of Phil Lynott was unveiled in Dublins Grafton Street by his mother. There to witness the event were members of Thin Lizzy from throughout the bands career. Later that evening they joined forces under the leadership of Gary Moore for a concert that paid tribute to Phil Lynotts memory. The core band of Moore, Jethro Tull bass player Jonathan Noyce and Thin Lizzys one and only drummer Brian Downey were joined by the stellar guitar talents of Brian Robertson, Scott Gorham and Eric Bell for a set of Lizzy and Gary Moore classics.

At the end of the night Gary was joined by Mitch Mitchell and Billy Cox of the Jimi Hendrix Experience for 3 tracks. Gary Moore was one of the finest British guitarists of all time and is one of the few players who could pay homage to Jimi Hendrix’s groundbreaking and truly distinctive guitar style. This is a stunning tribute from one master guitarist to another.

    Led Zeppelin Manager Peter Grant travelled to Scotland to see the band Power perform centred around the distinctive vocals of MAGGIE BELL.

    Suitably impressed, he signed them but had a name change in mind and they were renamed STONE THE CROWS. Even though their original guitarist Leslie Harvey had been electrocuted during a sound check at The Swansea Ballroom in 1972 they had regrouped with JIMMY McCULLOCH playing guitar and were at a creative and performance peak when this concert was recorded in Germany during 1973.

The band were touring in support of their album Hogs In Wolfs Clothing, their tribute to the great Howlin Wolf, and the show starts and finishes with tracks from that album but also features songs from across their career going right back to Still A Fool from their 1968 debut album Scratching The Surface. The line-up is Tony (T.S.) McPhee guitars & vocals, Eric Chipulina bass, Pete Correa drums.

    Willy DeVille is the founder, leader and principal songwriter of the band Mink DeVille. The band came out of the mid-70s New York punk scene, but first broke worldwide with their 1977 hit Spanish Stroll. Their music belied their punk roots and mixed soul with R & B, blues and Cajun influences. The band continued to release albums until the mid-80s when Willy began to perform and record under his own name. His solo single Storybook Love was nominated for an Oscar after it appeared in the film The Princess Bride.

    Gary Moore is one of the best rock and blues guitarists ever to come out of Ireland. In 1990 he released Still Got The Blues which went on to be his biggest selling album around the world. This concert from the Montreux Jazz Festival was recorded on July 7, 1990 on the tour for Still Got The Blues. It features the band used on that album and special guest Albert Collins, who had also appeared on the album. Nine of the tracks in the set are taken from that album, three of which were UK hit singles.As a bonus feature three of his biggest rock hits, Out In The Fields, Over The Hills & Far Away and an over 10 minute long version of the classic Parisenne Walkways are included from his concert at the Montreux Jazz Festival on July 9, 1997.

Early rock 'n' rollers such as Buddy Holly and Dick Dale quickly embraced the Stratocaster, and since then it has become the guitar of choice for legendary players such as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Keith Richards, Bonnie Raitt, Mark Knopfler, and dozens of others.
