  • Air Guitar Nation

    Various Artists

    Year: 2006

    Runtime: 1 hr 22 min

A battle of naked ambition played out on the national and, ultimately, world stage, Air Guitar Nation chronicles the birth of the U.S. Air Guitar Championships as legions of aspiring rock stars live out their dreams on a quest to become the world champion in a strange world where musical ability plays second fiddle to virtual virtuosity. As the film un-reels, two aspiring rock legends strum and strut their way towards glory and the coveted national title. C. Diddy (David Jung), a samurai warrior clad in a "Hello Kitty" breast plate and red kimono, emerges as an early favorite. But his arch nemesis from the Lower East Side, Björn Türoque (Dan Crane), is not far behind. While C. Diddy threatens to unleash his self-professed "Asian Fury" on his competitors, Björn vows to take Diddy down. As the film reaches its climax, the future of Air hangs in the balance; will Björn’s technical prowess, stage presence, and airness be enough to take him to the top, or will C. Diddy conquer all to become America’s first supreme being of air guitar? Full of triumph and disappointment, patriotic spirit and political tension - and, of course, invisible guitars - AIR GUITAR NATION and filmmaker Alexandra Lipsitz take audiences on an inspiring, exhilarating, and ultimately hilarious journey that delves deep to find out what it truly takes to become the best in the world and find the inner meaning of the chant, "Make Air, Not War."

Dipping into newer tracks such as rollicking electro stomper 'Miracle Mile' and raw renditions of fan favourites like 'We Used To Vacation' and 'Hang Me Up To Dry', the Kids showed us they are more than capable of putting on a phenomenal live performance that can keep everyone in the house rocking until the final minute.

  • The Millennium

    Rock

    Year: 2011

    Runtime: 1 hr 4 min

New Years Eve, 31 December 1999, and the world was about to say goodbye to a thousand years of years starting with 1. It was a time of great excitement and expectations everywhere and the world – and especially Sydney – was ready to party. Sydney was the first major city in the world to celebrate midnight and the change to 2000. The World’s media was watching to see what would happen – and Sydney was ready to show them just how to welcome in the new Millennium. Rock The Millennium was Sydney’s biggest party that year, a huge concert held on the edge of the Harbour, just a short way from the centre of the city and the Bridge and those famous fireworks. On the stage were the best Australian bands and acts in front of a wildly enthusiastic audience – with many travellers and tourists from all over the world. Their energy, excitement and enthusiasm supercharged the acts – and those performances were captured by cameras which broadcast the concert live to Australia. Highlights were sent throughout the world: to the US, Canada, Europe and Asia. This release of the concert is the result of days of researching and restoring the original concert master tapes with enhanced image and soundtrack. A whole new digital experience which presents the performances so they are as fresh as the day were first broadcast. Enjoy the show and relive that great night.
