Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
We have a treat for those not lucky enough to attend the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn this week. Not only does Qello have the 25th Anniversary concerts featuring outstanding performances by Crosby, Stills & Nash, Stevie Wonder, Simon & Garfunkel, U2, Jeff Beck, Metallica, and Bruce Springsteen, but we also have shows from the 2016 inductees!
Montage of Heck
Hard to believe it’s been 22 years since Kurt Cobain left this world. The latest police investigations surrounding his death are certainly bringing it into current news again. We’ve got the chilling first-ever authorized (by Cobain’s family) documentary Montage of Heck. Watching home video of little Kurt is truly amazing. Don’t miss this one.
Steven Tyler goes all in for Country
Tyler is enjoying his time in Nashville and the success of his new country sound in “Red, White & You” so much that Aerosmith might be calling it quits all together. According to Brad Whitford, Aerosmith’s guitarist, the band is “putting together a sort of wind-down tour which [they] would call the Farewell Tour” in 2017.
Damn Gorillaz, Back at it Again with the Album Teasers
The Gorillaz have been sharing teasers about a new album for months now. In an interview with DIY Mag, Jamie Hewlett claims "2016 is going to be Gorillaz all year." I’m ready for Gorillaz all the time, especially because it’s been six years since they released new music.
Top of the Hill
Christian group Hillsong released their album entitled Youth Revival in February and it immediately shot up the charts. Youth Revival is ranked #6 on the Universal Music Group’s Top 10 Selling Digital Albums and hit #1 on the Billboard Christian/Gospel Chart.
I doubt Jay Z will put a bronze ring on Queen Bey’s finger while they are celebrating their eighth wedding anniversary this week. Here’s to many more happy years for this power couple and their adorable Blue Ivy Carter.
