February is Black History Month and we are celebrating by honoring the icons of music history.

There's the prophesied poetry of Tupac Shakur:

“Dear mama, don’t cry, your baby boy’s doin’ good. Tell the homies I’m in heaven and they ain’t got hoods. Seen a show with Marvin Gaye last night, it had me shook. Drinkin’ Peppermint Schnapps with Jackie Wilson and Sam Cooke.”

There's the funk of James Brown, the jazz of Charles Mingus, the soulful sound of Marvin Gaye, and so many more whose music is so tightly woven into the fabric of countless musical genres.

Their talent and thier creations will live on forever in our Qello Concerts library.  That’s exactly why we love what we do here!

Enjoy these moments from some of the full-length live performances we have of these greats.
