Sun Records, as a label, was one of the founding fathers of Rock and Roll. Sam Phillips had the vision of what Rock and Roll could, would, and might become. And no-one else had that. These weren’t songs that were incredibly difficult to play. They were exciting, short, basic, fun, tended to have a simple message, the reason it became so successful, is because people could emulate it. Sun Records really laid the foundation of what was Rock and Roll music. Those artists really created something new, and something that has endured and influenced so many bands throughout the years
