A Holiday Session

Few sessions in our catalogue bring us as much joy as the one Abner Ramirez and Amanda Sudano turned in back in 2014. The duo, who answer to the name Johnnyswim, are as cute and cuddly as they come, like some modern day re-incarnation of Sonny and Cher. Within moments of meeting them, you know theirs' is the kind of LOVE spelled out in big capital letters. And honestly, it's not even that revolting (you know those people, who hang all over each other and generally make everyone uncomfortable with the scene?)! Their love is the real deal...I mean, they made a baby together. And they're a hoot to hang out with...especially during the holidays. "I love Christmas," Abner proclaimed during the band's recent visit to our Park Slope outpost. "I think it's an above average love for Christmas. Amanda, however, has I think what some would call an obscene passion for Christmas!" Hence the band's Johnnyswim Christmas EP and 2nd annual tour that's currently circling the country. During the band's two night, sold out run on The Bowery Ballroom, Abner and Amanda stopped by to get our crew in the holiday spirit, and I'm telling you, if this here session doesn't give you the warm fuzzies, something is seriously, seriously wrong with you, Mr. Grinch. Here the band saunter through a lovely medley of "Winter Wonderland" and "Baby It's Cold Outside"...It all makes for the loveliest of sessions. Happy holidays y'all!
